First of all, it's thieves. And the proper term would be a "hack", if such were the case. But it's not that performers use ghost writers so much as ghost writers seek out the performer they feel best represents their work!!!! You clearly have no grasp on reality or the industry. Just like an actor can be typecast by a director or creator, a performer can be typecast by a ghost writer. Based on your logic, all actors who don't write their own characters are thieves? Use a little insight.
